Firefox Search Plugin

18 September 2004 86 views 3 Comments

Firefox is so amazing! It gets better and better. In fact, it’s spreading so fast, there’s a dedicated website for it’s phenomena (www.spreadfirefox.com). They have had 1 million downloads in 10 days!

Anyway, here’s another amazing feature. I told you about search plugins. Well, you can customize them. I created one for our pw.ynem.org site. So, you can just go from wherever you are, to the top right search bar and click on the pw.ynem.org and type the song you want the lyrics and chords to and … bingo!

To add pw.ynem.org in your Firefox search plugin (you must be using Firefox):

Click HERE and it will automatically install into your search plugin.

Scripture Plug-in

7 September 2004 0 views No Comment

Cool … got this plug-in for this blog. So, everytime I or anyone else who write in the comments, a Scripture reference, it will automatically link to the Bible online so that anyone can click on a reference and see what the verse(s) is.

Here’s an example: If I type, Proverbs 3:5-6, you can now just click on it and see the verse!

Nice! Oh, the translation that I have linked is ESV (English Standard Version) which is a pretty new translation. It’s a translation that is making it’s way into many churches and pulpits. It’s favored by many popular preachers, such as John Piper. In fact, he’s written a pretty good article on the translation. Check it out: http://www.desiringgod.org/library/topics/word_god/esv.html
