If you need a wireless network at home because you have a laptop and want the freedom to go around without having wires, or have a desktop that’s not close to your dsl/cable modem or don’t want an ugly wire going across a room … there’s a great deal at BestBuy. I had $50 gift certificate there and found a Netgear 802.11g (the faster one) with a usb adapter for desktop or laptop for $59.99! It’s actually $139.99, but you get $80 mail-in rebates. I know, I know … I don’t like rebates either … but that’s a steal!

Oh, I need a wireless network at home. I have a PowerBook, but I’m always attached to the desk all the wires. This or AirPort Express? Hmm…
This deal is MUCH cheaper … but the AirPort Express will give you portability. Also, this includes the usb adapter, so you can add ANOTHER computer to the network (PC or MAC). With the AirPort Express, you would have to buy another card or usb adapter fro another computer, making it even more epensive. But, again, for portability, AP Express is the way to go. In fact, if you get it, I could borrow it when I go places! haha!
