I've got some experience with 2 Canons, 1 Minolta, and 1 Sony digicam and have liked Canon's picture quality the best. If size & portability are the main factors, a cameraphone may be worth looking into.

Hey Christine,

Yeah, I have the perfect camera for you! :) I love my Casio Exilim! I have an EX-Z3 which is the older model and it's a 3 megapixel camera. But they also have the newer models out now. There's the EX-Z30, EX-Z40, and EX-Z50. The differences are that they are the 3 megapixel, 4 megapixel, and 5 megapixel, respectively. Anyway, the reason why I like this camera so much is because it's SO small and yet has a HUGE screen. It's fast too. It's about the size of a credit card (not thickness though ... that would be crazy!).

It's a really decent price on it too. There's a good site that I have bought digital cameras from and they are reliable and cheap. It's ibuydigital.com. Do a search on these cameras and you'll find that the price is $208, $248, $294, all under $300.

I have always been partial to Sony products, but I like the way these pictures turn out MUCH more than the Sony.

Here's a DETAILED review of my camera (http://www.dpreview.com/reviews/casioexz3/), although the one on ibuydigital would be the newer model.

Good luck!
