JetBlue & Vacation

I am once again sold on JetBlue. They are the friendliest people in the skies. I can’t believe that this company consistently provided great service, the best price and the best features than any other airline. How is that possible? Usually great service and best features equals the worst price. Well, obviously, they are doing something right.

Where can you get leather seats, more leg room, free wireless hotspot at the airport, and Live DirecTV programming at every seat for about $99/each way from one coast to another? JetBlue. So, how do they do it? Here’s JetBlue 101 to understand the economics of JetBlue.

Ok, so with all the pros of the company, what’s the con? Well, up until now, they only flew out of Long Beach for Greater LA. That wasn’t so bad living in Glendale, but now, since we live in Santa Clarita, it’s a track! But, the con is now balancing itself out. If you haven’t heard, they will soon be flying out of Burbank Airport! Awesome!

We just flew to DC w/the whole family and DirecTV saved us. Kaily and Emily were watching Scooby Doo and Tom & Jerry; I was watching ESPN SportsCenter highlights and poker on Travel Channel; and Kathy was watching her Food Network. The kids watched until they got tired and then they slept on our laps. The BEST experience we have had traveling w/three kids. We’ve flown JetBlue before, but I guess w/the kids older, it was just much easier.

And to top it off, it was a smooth landing and they didn’t brake hard as if they overshot the runway. Here’s a shot of the interior of the plane, if you’ve never been on one. And it’s all coach. There’s no first class/business class on JetBlue.

Fly JetBlue … you’ll love it!
