Ok, is it just me or is LA traffic getting WORSE! This is crazy. You can’t go anywhere without it.
Well, here’s something to help you out. A couple of months ago, Stephen Kim (HS teacher) programmed a very clean, simple traffic site that lists the average speeds at each exit. I love it! I ported it over to my webserver and use it to check traffic on my Treo 650 all the time. You know traffic’s bad when you have to check it even outside of the normal rush hours. Sure, you can goto sigalert.com or another traffic site, but if you don’t want to deal with ads and just want the fastest way to check traffic, this is it.
Anyway, you can use it on your Treo, Blackberry, Smartphone, or even from your web browser at work or at home. Here’s the link: http://www.kyeschung.com/traffic
Bookmark it, share it with a friend who has a Treo or Blackberry, and cut down your travel time!!! I’ve been sharing this site with people personally and it seems like they are really enjoying it, so I wanted to share it with the REST of the “community.”
Enjoy!
Rave: The traffic link works great! Amazingly helpful if you are on a listed freeway.
Beef: I’m not always on a listed freeway! And half the time, I know there’s trouble up ahead, but I’m usually still stuck on the freeway, so I have to just ride it out!
This traffic report will help me and those who are on road for living tremendously. although it has certain limitation, it is way better than hoping traffic would be ok or waiting for radio traffic report.
My hats off to Steve and Pastor Kye.
