Sitcom Doors

Wow, here’s prove that we watch too much TV and sitcoms have filled our heads with useless information …

The question: Which side is the door on?

Someone realized that they could recall where the door is for nearly every sitcom they’ve ever seen. Try it for yourself! Even if you can’t recall one single episode, you still know where the door’s at.

I know which side the door is on (left, right, and, in rare cases: rear-center) in every single one of these sitcom’s rooms. Do you? There’s a few sitcoms on this list of which I’ve only seen ONE episode.

See how many you know out of 20. I’ll post the answers as a comment. Check yourself and put in your score as a comment!

1. The Cosby Show
2. Diff’rent Strokes
3. Full House
4. Three’s Company
5. Family Matters
6. The Fresh Prince of Bel Air
7. Silver Spoons
8. Perfect Strangers
9. Who’s the Boss?
10. Growing Pains
11. The Brady Bunch
12. Family Ties
13. Alice
14. Seinfeld
15. Charles in Charge
16. Married with Children
17. Cheers
18. Everybody Loves Raymond
19. Roseanne
20. Friends

Man, this is so interesting! Why is it that we can remember that?

EDIT: Ok, the guy made a online quiz out of it. You can take the quiz there instead of my cheesy way of doing it via comments!

Charles in Charge had various shots of the living room. I thought it was Left Center, but it turns out, it’s Right and Right Center depending on certain shots.

Yep … that’s what I thought. Haha! Erwin, didn’t you say that it was on the left of the staircase? :)

Although people haven’t been leaving their scores in the comments, so many people have been telling me their score verbally. So, the theory is correct … everyone’s been either getting a perfect score or very close to it.
