Finally, after blogging for about 9 months now on WordPress, I have found a way to cross-post to Xanga. What does that mean?
That means that whenever I post an entry on my blog (www.kyeschung.com/blog), it will post it on my xanga (www.xanga.com/home.aspx?user=kyeschung) automatically! So, now people can subscribe to my xanga and still see the entries. My xanga is not just a placeholder anymore, but with updated entries. Now, I still prefer WordPress and my blog over Xanga anyday … so then why do this? Because so many people still use Xanga and it has subscriptions and blogrings. I’ve actually gotten re-connected with many people through my xanga. So, why not just move your blog to Xanga? Much more flexiblity with WordPress, no ads, less cluttered, free.
Now, that would be neat if it cross-posted comments too! But, because it doesn’t, I’ve turned off the comment on the xanga and it links to my main blog where people can comment.
And best of all, I have a backup!
This took me a while to figure out, but I know more about PHP, Pear, and IIS now. Anyone who needs help in this, just let me know!
This is great! I can’t wait to get this going!
Awesome! Thanks again!
