Are you too old???

Man, I must have been living under a shell. I missed this in the news. So, there is this teenage ringtone that only teenage people can hear (18-24 year olds). Because of aging ears, old people are not supposed to hear it. But I DO!!! :) So, I convinced myself that I’m not too old. So, if you want to see for yourself, click the play button and see if you hear anything. And when you do, leave a comment and let’s see if this really has to do with age!

BTW, this is NOT a joke! Promise!

Here’s the article from New York Times (press “skip ad” at the top right corner).

When P. Kye “played” this at our staff meeting, i thought he set up a joke with the others who could “hear” it. Only when i walked within 2 feet and my ears just at the correct angle was I able to hear it for about 2 seconds. They didn’t really believe that I could hear it, but i heard something. Now I want to make sure my hearing is good. I feel like i should practice or something, not like that would really help.

I can’t hear a thing. I thought this was a joke until my wife told me to she could hear an annoying loud pitch, like a dog whistle. This is a conspiracy and everyone is in on it. Crap, I’m old!

I’m so glad there is someone else who feels like everyone else is in on the conspiracy. I’ll have to see if my wife can hear it.

I remember when I used to make a ringtone on my phone that was high pitched and annoying, sounded like a fire alarm, I did it for kicks, and to annoy people when I got phone calls. This sounds like it’s meant for the same thing, although it’s said to be made for an undetectable by adult ringtone.

Myth Busted. Adults can still hear the high pitched noise, there’s a science behind it, but I just don’t understand, the only truth here is that Pastor John cannot hear it.

You know what, it’s so true! The stove burner at home makes the exact same sound, and my brother and I can hear it but my parents can’t. Haha
