I was praying with my kids last night and they all went around to pray, as they do each night. But, I noticed that their prayers are getting more specific.
Before it was just, “Help mom to feel better,” or “Help us to obey,” but last night it was:
Emily: “God, please help mommy to feel better and help her to not feel sick and help her to get all the phlegm out.”
Kaily: “God, please be with us and help us to listen to mommy and daddy and not to give them a hard time and not to give them a heart attack.”
Except for Nathan. When I asked him what he wanted to pray for, he just said, “poo poo.” That’s his favorite word now. I just wish he would “poo poo” in the toilet by himself!!! But I digress.
Anyway, I just had to laugh out loud with their prayers. I bet God was laughing harder!
