I have always been a great fan of Steven Curtis Chapman, mainly for his music. But, I knew there was always something amazing about this man that I saw when I went to his concerts and saw him in interviews. He definitely was someone who I wanted to model my life after. He always seemed like a great husband and incredible father. Maybe that’s why my heart went out to him and his family so much when they lost their youngest daughter, Maria, about 2 months ago.

When I see this interview with his family (that just aired yesterday), I am inspired by how he has raised his family in His ways, because in the midst of tragedy is when true faith comes out. I love the authenticity of Mary Beth and the maturity of faith in Steven. I want to be the spiritual leader in my house, as a husband to my wife and father to my children, that would bear much fruit and inspire others to live a life that would follow Jesus. Thanks Steven for your encouragement to my faith and my family.
