First Pumpkin Carving Family Contest

31 October 2008 677 views 9 Comments

Ok, I need your help. My wife and I have a little wager going on here. We decided to have a little friendly contest on who would make the better pumpkin. So, we both got a pumpkin and our carving tools to see who could do a better job. The pictures are below and I won’t tell you who made which one until the voting is closed. They are shown in alphabetical order.

tigger
yoda

Man, this is harder to vote than the presidential election! They’re both good!

WOW… they’re both amazingly GOOD! I should ask my hubby to do this too, next year! :) miss you guys!

Both are VERY good, but the yoda is much more intricate (at least it looks that way), and I thought the lines were cleaner.

agree with above comment. yoda just looks harder. props for hardness factor. both look good!

voted for tiger…because I am thinking from a sidewalk you could tell what it is faster…is that a lame qualification?

Lol. i thought yoda was that creature from the Lord of the Rings who stole the ring.

I’m guessing that Kathy made the tigger and P.K. made the Yoda…am I right? when will you reveal all? is there a prize?

  • KSC (author) said:

@Sandra thanks for the reminder … so, it was a tie until today!

So, actually my wife made the Yoda and I made the Tigger. She says that I gave her a disadvantaged to her pumpkin because I didn’t photograph it right. I put a candle on the left side, where it should have been dark.

It was close, but I win! The prize? We both have no money, so the prize was bragging rights. :)
