After making fun of the guy who said “tits” during his sermon, I think I have topped him.
This was my closing prayer for this Sunday’s Easter service (rated PG):
This is the most embarrassing thing that I have ever said in public. I tried to race through to cover it up, but don’t know if that helped … what do you think?
Forgive me, Lord!

Umm.. yeah, my friend, that's pretty obvious! But you did point it out, so I was looking for it.
Something much more tame I said years ago as an Associate Pastor on the first day I led worship/communion by myself, the very last sentence of my benediction:
“And may the grease, mercy and love of our Lord Jesus Christ, be with you now and forever, AMEN.”
Yours tops it, though!
haha that's awesome
i didn't even catch it the first time around. Your cover up was pretty good. I only noticed it the second time b/c I was looking for it. I think the other pastor's slip was worse.
grease, eh? haha.
that was hilarious… That was good recovery. keep moving no time to dwell on it… funny.
Sometimes that happens, we simply can not restrain their emotions and offends someone! Home in time to correct the error!
nice one pastor kye.. =)
although I know we can't minister out of fear, I have to admit I live in fear of these kinds of moments…
hi pastor kye! my name is ben park, and I'm a relatively new EM pastor up in Seattle. I just met up with Pastor Jim Bob last weekend in Dallas to begin planning for KASE 2010, and I heard that there's a possibility that we might be working together? In any case, I'm looking forward to it, and I wanted to say 1) hello and 2) thanks for KAMR (it's helped me to reconnect with some dear friends)!
