17 days away! April 29th!
200+ New Features in Tiger.
Ok, now this is cool!
Google knows where it’s at … Mac OS X! For all those that love the dock on Macs, you can get it on your google page w/all the services Google offers.
Check it out, Google X. Put your mouse over the images!
From the words of Google, “Roses are red. Violets are blue. OS X rocks. Homage to you.”
EDIT: For whatever reason, it was pulled and doesn’t exist anymore … man!
RE-EDIT: Ok, someone cached it (the irony) and made it available, so, if you missed it, …
Ok, there’s word on the streets (the net) that Tiger (the newest release of Mac OS X and billed as the most substantial upgrade to Mac OS X since the operating system debuted) will be in the stores by April 15th! They will be announcing on April 1st (I really hope this is not an April Fool’s Joke!) and in stores a couple of weeks after.
I’m looking forward to some new features in Tiger. Just like in other releases of the OS, I’m sure there will be people …
Help me to get a free Mac mini and you can get one too!
Sound like a scam? Well, the same company did one for ipods and people I know actually got their free ipods. So, it really works. You got to use the link above for me to get the referral, so PLEASE use it.
So, what do you gotta do? Well, first, click the link and setup an account. Second, validate your email address. And third, the kicker, complete ONE order offer (answer …
Wow! Incredible news for Apple and Macs! I have been reading about rumors for a while now, but now it’s official:
They have just announced the Apple Mac mini that will be available in a couple of weeks. The first sub-$500 Mac computer and it’s sleek! Finally, I can afford a Mac for home (honey, I hope you’re not reading this!). It’s only 6.5 inches wide and 2 inches tall. Plus, it’s built in bluetooth and airport extreme wireless, which means, again, no wires, ma. …
Ok, this has been out for a little while, but wanted to try it out myself before recommending it. I tried it out on all the PCs that I have access to and I like it! Microsoft bought out another company that had an antispyware software and just put their name on it (like the Honda Passport was just an Isuzu Rodeo), but they did pick one of the best ones to buy out. Gotta give them credit for that! This one finds stuff that Ad-aware …
Ok, Adium all the way on the MAC, but what about the PC? Definitely Trillian. I have been using Trillian on the PC side for many years (before even version 1) and they have done a GREAT job on Version 3.0. It’s definitely the best multi-platform chat program on the PC side and with this new version, they have added many new features. Some features include Activity Monitor, Instant Lookup (real cool), Metacontacts (just like Adium), Tabbed chat windows (like Adium), Video/Audio chat and then my …
This is a new beta feature of Google, Google Suggest. This is pretty neat cause if you start typing in a word, it “auto-completes” except not with entries that you have entered before, but what are the most common google searches. If you are searching for something, most likely, someone else has too. So, you can look at the suggestions and also see how many people have search for it. When I tried “young nak” I got “young nak em” and “young nak english ministry” …
Thanks to Delicious Library, I have some of my books cataloged in my computer and now have a checkout system so that I know who borrows my books. I can also show my library online, so people can know what books I have. It’s not complete, but getting there. These are more of the recent, practical books … all of my seminary, theological books are in my garage (5 bookshelves worth!). One day, I’ll have to get them into this catalog.
Found out something awesome about Delicious Library …
Very interesting (and true) article about people going home for Thanksgiving to eat turkey … and fix their parent’s computers. Whether it be removing spyware, installing a wireless network, or teaching them how to use email, millions will be taking their pilgrimage to their homes to help their parents by providing tech support for them. Before it was setting their VCR clocks from that blinking “12:00″ and now it’s the internet …
No wonder they get excited about the family coming home!
