Thank you God for your faithfulness. As much as she has grown in front of our eyes, may she grow in stature, wisdom, favor with God and others.
Growing up, I loved baseball. I wanted to be a professional baseball player. Or at least, I wanted to play little league baseball. I had the desire and heart and a love for the game. I would watch every Braves game (grew up in Atlanta), even when they were last place every year. I would listen to the AM radio under my pillow as I went to sleep, even when I wasn’t supposed to. I would even sneak out of bed, turn on the TV …
So, I might be going to Mongolia in late August, to visit a missionary friend, and when I told him, he told his kids about it. His daughters and Kailey happen to be best friends and so, when they found out that Kailey wasn’t coming, they started a top 5 list of reasons why Kailey should come to Mongolia with me. Eliana (one of the daughters) came on the video chat and told them to me. I thought they were really good!

As if I didn’t need another hobby or interest, I have developed one. I got a nice DSLR camera for Christmas and have been playing with it every spare minute I have. We got a used iMac for our kids and they had a lot of time to play with it on Thanksgiving. I setup iChat and we were chatting with each other from the other room. This was our conversation:
Then, she went to the Disney High School Musical website and I saw that she wrote a letter to Gabriella and Sharpay:

Happy Birthday Nathan.
I am happy to report that my man, Nathan is doing fine, despite some concerns we’ve had in the past. Now, when we asked him what he wanted for his birthday, he proudly said, “I want a tool set!” And my response??? “YES!!!!!!!!!!! (w/a deep voice!)”
Now the only problem is that when we got it for him today, the girls were fighting for it, putting on the tool belt and hammering away … Aw well.
So, last night, Kathy tells me that this boy from school has been calling Kailey. He left two voicemails. Man, she’s only in 3rd grade! I thought I had time to prepare myself for this stuff … guess not! He even tells her in the voicemail that he loves her … well, kinda.
